Spock is not impressed.
TELL IT TO THE VOLCANO!
The volcanic eruption in Eyjafjallajokull has made a huge impact on the rest of the world. In addition to evacuations due to ash fall and flooding in Iceland, airports in Europe and even the U.S. are experiencing flight delays. A very thick cloud of ash hangs in the air at 30,000 feet making flight near impossible…
This makes for some breathtaking photography though! I did not take these pictures, I found them in news articles and collections on flicker. Enjoi
It’s Spring Cleaning!
I have spent hours going through all of my crap, throwing out the stuff I don’t want and consolidating my book collection. I am FAR from finished, but here are the most interesting things I have found so far:
*an original 5” floppy of Zork
*my retainers from high school
*a homeless guy’s phone number (yes, I am serious)
*a “caution: radiation area” sign that my dad stole from his work several years ago
*my middle school cheerleading jacket… it has my name on it : )
Last night was the night of free things.
*Free Coffee (at work)
*Free Movie (Amber is superconnected)
*Free Fruit Punch at Taco Bell (I still had to pay for my burrito)
*Free Drinks at Cinebar
Fuck yes. The nonexistent gods are smiling on me.
Greek and Roman mythology have always fascinated me. While this is a nice piece of art, Medusa did nothing wrong. Yeah, okay- she slept around a little, but her punishment was a little extreme, don’t you think?
My next project will be to sculpt Medusa castrating Perseus (before turning him to stone). Stay tuned.
While walking to the bus stop this morning, I tripped on the sidewalk and fell into the snow. My purse was open and some snow fell into it… when it melts all of my things will be sopping wet. The worst part is that I fell very close to the bus stop, so if anyone was looking out their window, I had to stay there for another 10 minutes. Ugh. How embarrassing.
